Our avionics shop completing a Wi-Fi install on a Citation Bravo. Internet is provided by AirCell/GoGo. AirCell has been providing Wi-Fi on large cabin class aircraft and airliners for several years. Only recently is this available for the light jet market. GoGo’s service provides connection speeds at a maximum of about 3mbs while keeping the  and acquisition costs affordable.

Wi-Fi services on a light jet will set your aircraft apart from the rest of the fleet. We are proud to be able to offer this option to Citation 550/560 owners as this service has been traditionally enjoyed by owners of  large cabin class aircraft.

GoGo is a local company for us. They employ 400+ persons in Itasca, IL and Broomfield, CO.

This particular install is important to us as the aircraft is a part of our fractional program and available for charter. Anyone flying on JA Air Charter can chat, surf, tweet, , shop, work,, and even request their next flight with us while cruising in safety and comfort among any of the airports within GoGo’s  service volume. Go connected, Go fly with us!

What is Wi-Fi?: “Wi-Fi” commonly means  high-speed or broadband connectivity for surfing the Web, downloading entertainment, exchanging email, live streaming and the like.

Where Wi-Fi is: Wi-Fi access can  be divided into two regions–the U.S. and everywhere else. In the U.S., most Wi-Fi-equipped aircraft use Aircell’s terrestrial-based network. Aircell holds exclusive authorization from the FCC and FAA to use cellular frequencies for airborne communication. The Aircell system doesn’t guarantee usage below 10,000 feet. That is no big deal though as 95% of your flight is above 10,000 ft. anyway. The rest of the time, most light jets are departing from metropolitan areas where cellular data is available.
